Ray of Hope

The project was initiated in September 2004. It has nine members, which include three widows. About six orphans benefit from this project. The Church provided them with money to buy 200 Chickens in order to start this project. The church also provided them with the carvings, chemicals and feeds for the chickens. Group members provided the land where the project operates. They project has a very big garden and the grow onions, carrots, beans, potatoes, cabbages and tomatoes. The church also bought seeds and a horse pipe.

The produces are marketed at the market place in town and other people within and around the community also come and buy. The project has helped women to know what team work is. Women plan, work, fellowship and pray together. Together they have managed to make a difference in the community by helping the needy or underprivileged in their community. The project has enabled them to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in a very unique way. The project has also helped in ascertaining the Church’s relevance in the society.
